GAIL (India) Limited is India's leading natural gas company, with diversified interests across the natural gas value chain — trading, transmission, LPG production & transmission, LNG re-gasification, petrochemicals, city gas and E&P.
The challenge
GAIL collects and distributes gas across India, a process that involves many parties and must pass through multiple rules and checks. This led to several complications and a great deal of manual effort, and GAIL wanted to digitise the gas-nomination process.
What we delivered
We designed, developed, tested and maintained mobile and web-based applications to collect, share and analyse various types of information — including gas nominations — as well as to calculate and compare GPU production against given inputs, and to surf and update contract and procurement procedures.
The web portal is accessible to employees, suppliers and customers through a login ID/password provided by GAIL, or generated at login with basic customer details.
The outcome
A complex, manual, multi-party process became a single digital workflow — giving GAIL and its corporate customers a faster, more transparent way to manage gas nominations.
